BANGI UGANDA

Bangi Uganda was established in 2021 as a non-governmental organization by Alex Mwesigwa Mitala with a mission of serving the people in their local communities.

Bangi Uganda is involved in providing food for the poor, reusable sanitary pads for school girls and Christian education.

Food For The Poor

The global COVID 19 pandemic that forced lockdowns on the world greatly reduced the ability of many people to work and make ends meet for the sustainability of their families. Many of the people impacted by the hardships of life during the government enforced lockdowns in the greater Kampala area were the poor people who were already struggling to support their families before the pandemic.

Bangi Uganda collected food and funds from generous Ugandans and distributed the food to people who needed it the most people in local their communities.

Although the pandemic is over, there is still a need to help the poor people living in urban areas get food and basic necessities for their families. These include refugees from Uganda’s neighbors that are going through instabilities.

Reusable Sanitary Pads

Bangi Uganda also provides reusable sanitary pads for school going girls that cannot afford them. The organization has procured sowing machines and trained a few women on how to make reusable sanitary pads that are then supplied to school girls for free before and during the school year so that they wouldn’t have to miss school.

This project is a blessing both to the women that make the sanitary pads and the girls that receive them.
